The student was identified as Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi. which has been missing for the past two months.
The Indian Embassy released a statement
The Indian High Commission in Chicago said it is in touch with the police and the Indian community living in America. In a post published on social media, it was written that the embassy has come to know about the disappearance of Indian student Rupesh Chandra. The Embassy is concerned to learn of this. The embassy is in constant contact with the Indian community and the police and hopes to find out about Rupesh soon. Chicago Police have appealed to the public to share any information about Rupesh with the police. Rupesh has been missing from Chicago’s Sheridan Road for the past two months. Importantly, an Indian student had also gone missing in March before this. whose body was found in April. The body of Mohammad Abdul Arafat, who lived in Hyderabad, went to Ohio Cleveland University to study for an IT master’s degree.
Increase in attacks on Indian students in America
