Only in the year 2000, free internet facility was introduced in all schools and colleges in Estonia. Apart from free internet there are many other things that make this country special.
Located on the eastern shore of the Baltic Sea in north-eastern Europe, the country was once part of the Soviet Union. After its separation from Russia in 1991, the economy here has improved rapidly.
The government of Estonia, the smallest member of the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), has implemented a flat income tax system for its citizens, which means that everyone here pays the same tax.
Not only is the internet free in Estonia, public transport is also free here. For the first time this decision was taken in the year 2013 by the then mayor of the country’s capital Tallinn, Edgar Savisar.
