Swami Brahmaviharidas of BAPS Swaminarayan Sansthan represented Hinduism and India and UAE at the ‘Unity in Diversity’ conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. International religious leaders joined the occasion. The conference was the first largest conference held. In which more than 2,000 religious leaders and intellectuals from 60 countries were gathered. In which Brahmaviharidas gave a 10 minute speech.
Brahmaviharidas represented India and UAE in Malaysia
The saint represented Hinduism and both India and the UAE at the International Conference of Religious Leaders held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 7, 2024. The conference was held at the Sunway Resort Hotel in Petaling Jaya. While the objective of the conference was to promote ‘unity in diversity’ and the integration of cultures for global harmony, Brahmaviharidas Swami, representing India and the UAE, delivered a speech on the occasion.
Many religious leaders were present
Prime Minister of Malaysia, HE Datuk Anwar Ibrahim and Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, HE Sheikh Dr. People including Mohammad Abdul Karim were the focus of this conference. The need to unite the values of moderation and coexistence was emphasized to address extremism and transform conflicts into understanding, cooperation and unity.
Appeal to religious leaders to come forward
The need for religious leaders to come forward and play an active and courageous role in bridging social divides through universal values was emphasized. On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Malaysia said that “In a conference like this, we can observe things that need to be done and improved in Muslims, Christians, Buddhists or Hindus. Religious leaders have a duty to ensure that governance is strong and ethical.
