Local media Dawn reported that as per Pakistan PICSS report, the attack caused heavy losses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 70 people including 35 civilians and 31 security personnel have died in these attacks.
According to the report, four terrorists were killed during the terror attack and 32 civilians and 35 security personnel were injured in the attack. Apart from this, 56 terrorist attacks took place in March in which 77 people died and 67 people were injured. Pakistan has always been the center of attention around the world regarding terrorism. Terrorist attacks in Pakistan indicate a 38% increase. Although the death rate decreased by 9%, the number of injured did not change.
The report also revealed how much effort security forces made to thwart possible attacks in Pakistan throughout the month. At least 55 suspected militants were killed in action by security forces during the attack. Meanwhile, 12 suspects have been arrested. This includes the accused in the Basham suicide attack. The number of terrorists killed has increased by 55% compared to March.
How many terrorist attacks took place in April?
The report further said that 73 percent of the total terrorist attacks in April occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Last month there were 56 attacks in this area. According to the report, 26 security forces personnel and 17 civilians have been killed in this attack. The total number of injured was 32, of which 19 were security forces and 13 civilians. At the same time, there were four attacks in Peshawar and one each in Swat, Swabi, Charsadda, Shangla and Buttagram. According to PICSS, at least 25 attacks took place in tribal districts of KPK in which 18 people lost their lives and 22 were injured.
