Four militants were killed by security forces after firing on a police vehicle in Quetta, in neighboring Pakistan’s most restive Balochistan province. According to a team of Balochistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), four terrorists were located after firing on a police vehicle, after which all were killed in an encounter.
A senior officer of the CTD i.e. Counter-Terrorism Department said that four terrorists on two motor vehicles attacked a police vehicle during a police march on Quetta Road late at night. But all lives were saved as the soldiers were in armored vehicles.
A search operation was conducted in the building
He further said that after the attack by the terrorists, the police had started retaliatory action. In which one terrorist was killed on the spot. Another terrorist fled to a nearby building. The police cordoned off the building and deployed additional security personnel. After which the CTD team conducted a search operation to get the terrorist out. The CTD spokesperson said that the militants were asked to surrender but they started heavy firing on the police team. After that, the CTD team entered the building and killed the three terrorists in an encounter and took further action.
