CJI DY Chandrachud, who was on an official visit to Nepal, said in his address at the national conference that the way you treat children affects their brains throughout their lives. He recalled his childhood. In his address he recounted an incident recalling his school life. CJI said I will never forget that day in my school. I was not a juvenile delinquent. I did not carry the right size needle required for craft work. Because of this my teacher hit my hand with a stick. I requested my teacher to hit the stick on the back seat and not on my hand. The CJI said, the way you treat children affects their brains throughout their lives. The CJI said that the incident left a deep impression on my heart and soul and the memory is with me even today. Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud has gone on a three-day official visit to Nepal. He became the first CJI to tour the Himalayan nation.
