Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says Wagner, head of a private Russian military company, will travel to neighboring Belarus under a de-escalation agreement and the criminal case against him will be closed.The Kremlin has made it clear that charges against Yevgeny Prigozhin in the mutiny case will be dropped and that soldiers linked to him will not be prosecuted. Yevgeny himself will go to Belarus. In addition, fighters who participated in the uprising would not be prosecuted, but would instead be given the opportunity to sign an agreement to join the Russian army. Putin has been in power for more than two decades. To mitigate the crisis, the government has accepted the agreement.
