- America will send weapons to Israel
- Agreed to send weapons worth more than 1 billion dollars
- Earlier there was a threat of not supplying arms
US President Joe Biden has made a U-turn on the Gaza war. Until now, Israel had been threatened by Gaza not to supply arms for its attack on Rafah. But now Biden’s tune has changed. Now, the Biden administration has told lawmakers that America will send more than one billion US dollars worth of arms and ammunition to Israel.
America will help Israel now
Three employees of the US Parliament gave this information. He said that it is not yet known when this consignment of arms will be sent. Significantly, this month the Biden administration banned a shipment of 3,500 bombs worth 2,000 pounds to Israel. Since then, it has now emerged that the US is sending its first consignment of arms to Israel. Notably, the Biden administration has said that it has halted the supply of Mato bombs to Israel to prevent it from using those special weapons in an attack on the congested southern Gaza city of Rafah.
From tanks to ammunition included
US Congressional staffers said the arms package announced on Tuesday included everything from tanks to ammunition. About 700 million US dollars, 500 million dollars for vehicles and 6 million dollars for mortar rounds have been earmarked for this.
