Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MP Lal Chandra Malhi’s house has been bulldozed. PTI strongly condemns the demolition of former Malhi’s ancestral house in Sindh’s Umarkot district. Malhi is also the president of PTI’s minority wing.
Malhi tweeted the video of this action and wrote, ‘This wreck belongs to the rule of law in Pakistan. Enmity with Imran Khan has shaken the government. I am a peaceful law abiding Pakistani Hindu citizen. Police and administration demolished my family’s residential property in Umarkot with heavy machinery without any legal reason. He said, ‘My mistake is to stand with Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Imran condemned this action
Condemning this action, PTI Chief Imran wrote on Twitter, ‘I condemn the demolition of Lal Malhi’s family house in Umar Kot by the PPP government. Lal Malhi is the president of PTI’s minority wing.
The former PM said, the fascist tactics adopted by the state to force PTI leaders and workers to part ways with the party have seriously damaged not only our democracy but also the social contract between the state and its citizens. People in power need to reflect on these things. It is impossible to govern effectively and progress by oppressing citizens and depriving them of their basic rights.
PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub Khan tweeted, “This fascist federal government and corrupt Sindh government do not care about people’s wealth. Lal Malhi is the PTI Minority President. Hindus all over Pakistan and especially in Sindh are afraid of the draconian and illegal actions of the Sindh government.
