New York City Mayor Eric Adams accused a white lady complaining about rent increases of dealing with him like “somebody that is on the plantation that you possess.”
The incident took put on Wednesday night at a “Speak with Eric” city hall in Washington Heights, Manhattan.
Adams was inaugurated as New York mayor in January 2022, soon after getting elected the past November, creating him just the next Black male to have held the article.

His remarks sparked applause from some attendees, but a far more blended reaction on the web.
