The former Miss Ecuador contestant Landy Parraga Goyburra of the country of Ecuador has been publicly murdered on a public day. 23-year-old Landy Parraga Goyhaburo, who participated in the Miss Ecuador pageant in 2022, was murdered in a restaurant in the city of Queveda. She had come to the city to attend a wedding ceremony. It has been revealed that the deceased model was related to the leader of a drug trafficking gang. The drug trafficker had died in a prison scuffle a year ago.
According to the information, the police are investigating whether Parraga may have made contractual arrangements to kill Goyburo. Goyburo’s name also came up in a corruption investigation that linked judicial officials to organized crime, the Telegraph reported. Minutes before her death, the beauty queen posted a photo of herself dining at a restaurant.
It is being said that on reaching the restaurant, Goyburo turned on his phone’s location and from here he started sharing his photos on social media. After this, the miscreants came to know about her location and reached the restaurant and killed the beauty queen on the spot.
The murder incident was captured on CCTV
The shooting incident has been captured on CCTV. Goyburo is seen sitting in a restaurant talking to a man, and two gunmen enter the restaurant, one of whom is standing at the entry gate. Another gunman runs up to Goyburo and shoots him dead. Both Goyaburo and the person she was talking to were injured in the shooting. After this, both the accused fled from the spot.
Photos were recovered from the phone of the accused
Goyaburo was shot three times and died. Investigators found photographs of Goyburo on Norero’s phone, as well as evidence of lavish gifts he gave Goyburo, including a car. Goyburo came into the limelight in December-2023 when his name came up in a chat between Norero and his accountant Haliv Angulo.
No official arrest
During the court trial, prosecutors revealed that the slain drug smuggler begged the accountant not to reveal his affair with the beauty queen. Currently, the police have started an investigation into Goyburo’s murder and no one has been arrested yet. Landy Parraga Goyburo had come to attend the wedding a day earlier. When she went to the restaurant, she was shot dead by an armed miscreant who happened by. The motive behind the attack is yet to be revealed.
