The entire country, including the capital of France, Paris, is in the grip of dangerous violence. After the death of 17-year-old Nahel, France is witnessing one of its worst riots in a decade. Demonstrators are openly firing indiscriminately here. The situation has become so uncontrollable that the protesters have no fear of the police. Meanwhile, the rioters have also attacked the house of the mayor of Paris.
They wanted to burn down the house
Vincent Jeanbrun, 39, mayor of the southern part of Paris, told French TV, ‘Suddenly it felt like someone was inside the house. The intruders started firing with mortars. My wife and children were sleeping inside the house at the time of the attack. There is no doubt that they wanted to burn down the house. When the rioters realized that someone was inside the house, they immediately started firing.
Let it be known that Vincent’s wife, who was injured in the attack, had to undergo an operation. Mayor Vincent Jeanbrun said this is his second term as mayor in Paris. At the age of 29, he was first elected as the mayor of the city. Today his age is 39 years. In these two terms, he never thought that the lives of his wife and children would be in danger because of it. He further said that the question of defeat does not arise, because if he is scared, the rioters will win.
Everything is ruined
The violence in Paris has brought bus transport to a standstill and dozens of buses have been destroyed. Shops, offices, banks, shopping malls, libraries and schools are targeted by protesters. Seeing the worsening situation, the French PM announced after a meeting with the ministers that a state of emergency may also be declared in France. On the third day of the riots, 249 policemen were injured, while police arrested 875 people. The French president has blamed social media and poor upbringing of children for the violence.
