In September last year, China blocked the proposal to nominate Mir to the United Nations. Also, China has stopped this proposal. Terrorist Sajid Mir is wanted in connection with the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) carried out the attacks by sending terrorists to Mumbai. Meanwhile, terrorists targeted hotels, cafes and railway stations. In which around 170 people were killed.

Six Americans were also killed during the three-day attack. Terrorist Mir was allegedly the master planner of the attack. He instructed the terrorists during the attack. In addition, Sajid Mir allegedly planned terror attacks on the employees of a newspaper in Denmark between 2008 and 2009.
US issued arrest warrant

The US issued an arrest warrant against Mir on 22 April 2011.
