In Canada, the police have arrested three Indian nationals in connection with the Chakchari Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case. According to the information, the police believe that the three arrested are allegedly members of a group which was tasked by the Indian government to kill Nijjar last year.
In September last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s murder. After this, tension was seen in the relations between India and Canada. India dismissed Trudeau’s allegations as ‘absurd’ and ‘motivated’. Police arrested the men on Friday during a search operation conducted in at least two Canadian provinces, according to news reports. Sources said that a few months ago the police had identified these people as a group of people involved in Nijjar’s killing and the police were keeping an eye on them.

According to sources, three people have been arrested and charged with murder on the day Nijjar was killed outside a gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia. Meanwhile these people were working as shooters, drivers etc. According to the information received, three people have been arrested and accused of Nijjar’s murder.
Identification as an Indian citizen
Court documents reveal that Karanpreet Singh, Kamalpreet Singh and Karan Brar are accused of murdering and conspiring to kill Nijjar. A Global News report identified the suspects as Indian nationals. It was said, ‘Canadian police detained Indian nationals on Friday morning almost a year after Nijjar was killed.’
