A Taliban official informed about this and said that the flood has affected the capital Kabul. The Director of Natural Disaster Management in Baghlan admitted that there was heavy damage to property and floods. He further said that many people have gone missing due to floods. Also, the number of dead is expected to increase.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Natural Disasters said that the flood has affected the capital, Kabul. He said that the rescue team is also delivering food and other help. Officials are fully focused on the rescue operation and have reached the spot to ascertain the number of casualties and flood damage. At least 70 people have died and nearly 2,000 homes, three religious places and four schools have been damaged in incidents involving heavy rains and floods in Afghanistan last month. The spokesperson added that thousands of people are in need of humanitarian assistance.
Severe flooding conditions in Brazil
