Pro-Palestinian protester derails dinner at UC Berkeley law school dean’s home, refuses to leave

A congratulatory supper held at the house of UC Berkeley Faculty of Legislation Dean Erwin Chemerinsky was upended this week after a pro-Palestinian college student begun a heated speech about the Israel-Hamas war and refused to go away.

The incident, which took put Tuesday night, came after a number of shortly-to-be regulation college graduates had been invited to go to one of three backyard dinners at the Oakland home of Chemerinsky, a left-wing scholar, and his spouse, legislation school professor Catherine Fisk.

Afaneh then claimed she was assaulted by Fisk, which Chemerinsky denied as he turned visibly offended, expressing after much more, “Remember to leave our residence now!”
