STOCKHOLM — One man or woman was killed and several other people wounded when a roller coaster derailed in Stockholm on Sunday, Swedish Tv set reported.
Park officers instructed general public broadcaster SVT that that one of the carriages on the Jetline rollercoaster derailed and people fell to the ground at the Grona Lund amusement park.
“It is unbelievably tragic and shocking,” park spokeswoman Annika Troselius advised SVT. “Unfortunately we have been informed that one individual is killed and many are injured.”
Police claimed 7 people, both equally small children and older people, have been hospitalized.
The amusement park was evacuated to facilitate the do the job of rescue crews.
SVT reporter Jenny Lagerstedt, who was standing in line for one more experience, reported the carriage was at a superior altitude.
“Suddenly I heard a metallic thud and then the rides started off to shake,” she mentioned. Rescuers had to take out other travellers who were being stuck in other carriages on the roller coaster right after the incident.
