Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., unveiled laws on Wednesday aimed at blocking non-citizens from voting in U.S. elections.
Johnson held a higher-profile push meeting at the foundation of the U.S. Capitol to promote the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (Conserve) Act along with the bill’s leaders in the Household and Senate, Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah.
The speaker warned that a “dangerously superior variety” of illegal immigrants are ready to vote in U.S. elections and reported it could even have an affect on who wins or loses.
