Alabama lawmakers on Tuesday proposed a compromise on gambling laws that would authorize a state lottery and numerous websites with digital gambling machines. But the measure faces an uncertain outlook in the closing times of the legislative session.
A conference committee permitted the two-monthly bill proposal as lawmakers goal to place the challenge to a statewide vote this August. Lawmakers in the Alabama Dwelling of Associates and Alabama Senate could vote on the measure as before long as Tuesday night.
