She’s cemented her status as one of Britain’s best designers, with her eponymous collection making her one of Vogue’s elite.
Forever a fashion icon, Victoria Beckham‘s outfits have been admired over the years as she’s proved to be the ultimate style chameleon.
Once a champion of boob tubes, double denim and tight leather dresses, Victoria now opts for a more mature style, favouring wide legged tailoring and colour blocking.
Yet the transformation from Posh to polished didn’t come overnight and over the years she’s showcased a range of incredible looks.
Now, as Victoria turns 50, we take a look back at her most iconic looks.

The 1990s
Fresh-faced Victoria burst onto the showbiz scene when the Spice Girls were formed in 1994.
Along with Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, Mel B and Emma Bunton, she formed the ultimate girl power group and earned herself the nickname Posh Spice.
She earned herself a style queen status in her own right, with fans flooding to shops to copy her mini dresses, spaghetti strap tops and leather ensembles.
Yet when she met husband David Beckham in 1997 she upped her fashion game yet again, with the pair stepping out in matching outfits.
Their wedding outfits are still regularly referenced today – who could forget that purple bridal gown?
Yet while David has admitted he ‘doesn’t know what we were thinking’ with the outfit choice, Victoria stands by the choice, saying in her BECKHAM documentary: ‘It was fun!

The Noughties were a period of real change for Victoria and this was reflected in her style.
Having had her first boob job after welcoming son Brooklyn, Victoria was keen to show off her new curves and swapped her trademark little black dresses for plunging gowns.
With the Spice Girls splitting, Victoria also seemed hellbent on denouncing her ‘Posh’ moniker for a more racy nickname, opting for more daring ensembles, yet when they reformed for a reunion tour, Victoria showed off her elevated version of Posh fashion.
The Noughties also marked Victoria’s first time attending the biggest fashion event in the world – the Met Gala – and she ensured all eyes would be on her for 2003’s Goddess: Classical Mode theme, flashing her figure in a racy Dolce and Gabbana design.
And who could forget Victoria’s part in the iconic World Cup WAG squad in 2006 who famously commanded the spotlight during the tournament, garnering more attention than their player husbands who actually took to the pitch in Germany.

The 2010s
Despite being branded a ‘trend killer’ in the Noughties, Victoria hit back at her critics by launching her eponymous fashion label and slowly, she began to find favour.
Gone were the cleavage flaunting boob tubes and thigh-grazing mini skirts in favour of sleek tailored suits and minimalist designs.
In 2011, four years after starting out, she won best brand at the British Fashion Awards and six years after that she was awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours for services to the fashion industry.
Having earned her status as fashion royalty, it was only fitting that she mingled with actual royals.
Victoria landed invites to Kate Middleton and Prince William and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s weddings in the 2010s and found just as much attention was her dresses of choice as the brides.

The 2020s
Having won over critics in New York and London, Victoria decided to make her debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2022.
The following year her brand turned a profit for the first time in 15 years, with many putting the success down to her diversification into accessories and a carefully orchestrated social media strategy which sees her post make-up tutorial videos on TikTok which are watched by millions.
A friend of Victoria’s told The Daity Mail that she is ‘so happy’ to have turned around the business, which she launched in 2008 with a small collection of dresses.
They went on to claim Victoria was particularly pleased that it was coming ahead of her 50th birthday, musing: ‘It feels like two special milestones have come together. Victoria is just so happy.’
In an interview with industry bible Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) to celebrate the news, her brand’s investor, David Belhassen, shone a rare spotlight on the inner workings of Posh’s empire.
He revealed that revenues are up by a huge 42 per cent to £58 million — and predicted that when the business files accounts for the 2022 financial year this coming December, the former Spice Girl will make her many critics eat their words.
