The estate of Tupac Shakur has despatched a cease and desist to Drizzy about “Taylor Designed Freestyle,” which employs AI-generated Tupac and Snoop to diss Kendrick Lamar. The document, attained by Billboard, needs the song be pulled from streaming solutions or face a lawsuit. “The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and identity,” it reads. “Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s authorized legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of a single of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would in no way have provided its acceptance for this use.” Howard King, the estate’s attorney, also demanded “a in-depth rationalization for how the audio-alike was developed and the folks or company that produced it, which include all recordings and other details ‘scraped’ or employed.” He points out that the AI Shakur would have had to be educated on a thing, most likely the estate’s copyrighted intellectual home. Drake has 24 hrs to take down “Taylor Made” prior to further legal motion is taken.
