Nearly a 10 years back, Robert Durst stated 5 phrases on-digicam. He “killed them all, of training course,” the now-convicted murderer admitted in the finale of The Jinx: The Daily life and Deaths of Robert Durst, an Emmy-winning HBO docuseries directed and developed by Andrew Jarecki. Now, in The Jinx – Component Two, that exact same network will inform the story of what took place just after Durst’s bombshell assertion, which led to his arrest in a New Orleans lodge lobby in 2015 only hours prior to the finale aired. The six-section series picks up appropriate wherever that installment leaves off, combing Durst’s prison phone calls, interviewing new witnesses, and unearthing audio recordings. A teaser trailer has all the aesthetics of its legitimate-criminal offense predecessor — shoddy footage of Durst in orange, flashes of newspaper headlines pursuing his on-tape confession, silent reenactments, and gloomy B-roll. A whole trailer displays that the sequence will stick to “Bob” as he makes an attempt to flee the place, his calls from jail, and innumerable friends and hangers-on that aided him test to evade conviction. “I know Jarecki is planning on doing a sequel,” we hear the topic say in excess of the phone. “The trial’s gonna be a zoo.” Just as Durst predicted, Jarecki has been on the case. You can see his findings on April 21, when The Jinx – Element Two premieres on Max.
