Taylor Swift knows all too well what Lady Gaga is going through.
The “Style” singer, 34, stuck up for the “Joker 2” actress, 38, after Gaga made a video on TikTok denying that she is pregnant on Tuesday.
Swift has also been subject to pregnancy rumors recently amid her relationship with Travis Kelce.
“Can we all agree that its invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body,” Swift wrote under Gaga’s video on Wednesday.
She added, “Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman. 💋.”
The rumors about Gaga surfaced on June 1 when she attended her sister’s wedding with her boyfriend of four years, Michael Polansky.
The “Poker Face” singer referenced one of Swift’s songs when she shut down the speculation that she’s expecting a baby on TikTok.
Her message on the video read, “Not pregnant–just down bad cryin at the gym,” referencing the track “Down Bad” from Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Gaga also encouraged fans to register to vote ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
Swift, for her part, has been facing pregnancy rumors that have been circulating on social media with footage of her performing on her Eras Tour.
Some fans are saying that Swift is expecting her first child with Kelce, 34.
The Grammy Award winner and the Super Bowl champion started dating last summer and made their relationship public during the NFL season, as Swift regularly attended Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer on her man.
The couple are going strong and enjoyed a trip to Lake Como, Italy, last month while Swift had a break from her tour.
Swift has not directly addressed the latest pregnancy rumors about her.
Back in 2020, the “Love Story” singer did an interview with Variety where she opened up about being the subject of pregnancy rumors when she was a teenager and how that led to her struggles with eating and body image.
“I remember how, when I was 18, that was the first time I was on the cover of a magazine,” she said. “And the headline was like ‘Pregnant at 18?’ And it was because I had worn something that made my lower stomach look not flat. So I just registered that as a punishment.”
Swift continued, “And then I’d walk into a photo shoot and be in the dressing room and somebody who worked at a magazine would say, ‘Oh, wow, this is so amazing that you can fit into the sample sizes. Usually we have to make alterations to the dresses, but we can take them right off the runway and put them on you!’ And I looked at that as a pat on the head.”
“You register that enough times, and you just start to accommodate everything towards praise and punishment, including your own body,” the superstar added.
In 2019, Swift shut down an interviewer from a German news outlet who asked the then-29-year-old if she would like “to be a mother someday, to have children.”
“I don’t really think men are asked that question when they turn 30, so I’m not going to answer that now,” she said in response.
