Seth Binzer, the guide singer of the 2000s-era rock-rap band Mad Town, has died. He was 49.
The band co-founder and actuality star, far better identified by his phase title Shifty Shellshock, died Monday at his Los Angeles household, according to Los Angeles County Health-related Examiner data. An investigation to figure out his cause of dying has been opened.
Representatives for the musician did not promptly answer Tuesday to The Times’ ask for for remark.
Binzer, who was open about his protracted wrestle with dependancy, also appeared on the reality series “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” and “Sober House” in between 2008 and 2010.
His Southern California band, which fused significant metal and hip-hop, fashioned in Los Angeles in 1999 when he and Bret “Epic” Mazur recruited rockers Rust Epique, Doug Miller, James Bradley Jr., Antonio Lorenzo Valli and Adam Goldstein. “I tried to clear away the large rock factor,” he told The Situations then. “This is far more surfer hip-hop: hip-hop with reggae overtones, some dance music and R&B influences.”
The band reunited and in 2015 unveiled their 3rd album, “The Brimstone Sluggers.”
