Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne have had to put a big life change on hold.
On the July 16 episode of their family podcast, “The Osbournes,” the couple revealed that Ozzy’s declining health has delayed their plans to move back to England.
“Well, we’re trying to get on a flight,” said Ozzy, 75.
“Yeah, it just seems that every time we’re set to go, something happens with Ozzy’s health,” added Sharon, 71.
The Black Sabbath rocker has Parkinson’s disease, which has taken a major toll on his well-being. He also underwent four surgeries on his spine following a bad fall in 2019.
“We’ll get there,” Sharon said about returning to the UK for good. “We want to go back so bad, but we’ll get there. Won’t we, Ozzy?”
“Yeah,” her husband replied.
“We will,” Sharon said.
Ozzy revealed his plans to move back to his native country in an interview with The Guardian in Aug. 2022.
He said “everything’s f–king ridiculous” in America, adding, “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. It’s f–king crazy.”
“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f–king Forest Lawn,” Ozzy added. “I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”
Sharon said in an interview with ABC News in Sept. 2022 that she would also like to move back to England.
“I just feel at this point in my life, I can’t speak for Ozzy, but I wanna go home,” she said. “And it doesn’t mean I’ll never come — my children are here. I need to be back where I came from.”

Sharon and Ozzy have three children, Aimee, 40, Kelly, 39, and Jack, 38, who all live in America.
Ozzy has two older kids, Jessica, 52, and Louis, 49, with his ex, Thelma Riley.
The “Crazy Train” singer was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003 but waited to go public with his diagnosis until January 2020.
He told Rolling Stone UK in Nov. 2023 that he thinks he has “10 years left” to live “at best.”
Ozzy also said at the time that a recent back surgery left him “practically crippled.” He revealed that a “second surgery went drastically wrong.”
In an interview with Daily Mail last year, Sharon said it’s “heartbreaking” to see Ozzy struggle to be “self-sufficient” amid his health issues.
“We’re at a stage where I’ve been taking care of my husband, not because I have to but because I want to and I love him,” she explained. “He’s had seven operations in five years. There’s nothing more they can do. Now it’s about recuperating.”
Since his surgeries, Ozzy has had to rely on the help of a cane and a wheelchair to get around.
