Notice Sex and the Metropolis fans, there’s a new woman in city as Rosie O’Donnell is signing up for the solid of And Just Like That.
“Here will come Mary #andjustlikethat @hbo,” O’Donnell, 62, wrote by way of Instagram on Wednesday, May 1, saying her casting on season 3 of the series.
The actress posted a photograph of the season 3, episode 1, script called “Outlook Excellent,” which was written and directed by Michael Patrick King. (The photo also confirmed that And Just Like That is officially in output.)
Previously mentioned the script was a nameplate that showed O’Donnell will be taking part in a woman named Mary when the collection returns in 2025.
O’Donnell also shared a photo of herself with wavy, gray hair from what appeared to be the exact desk go through.
“Holy moly ❤️,” a person person wrote in the responses portion. An additional admirer couldn’t control their exhilaration above the news, composing, “OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! I am Homosexual PANICKED!!!!!!!!!”

O’Donnell’s casting will come after Sara Ramirez reportedly exited the present in January. At the time, the Day-to-day Mail reported that Ramirez, 48, would not be again for season 3 following their character, Che Diaz, split from Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) for the duration of period 2.
HBO declined to comment to Us Weekly about Ramirez’s departure, but the network verified in March that Karen Pittman would not be back as Nya Wallace, Miranda’s Columbia Legislation School professor and buddy. Pittman’s exit was because of to scheduling conflicts amid her commitments to AppleTV+’s The Early morning Exhibit and Netflix’s Forever.
“It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the clever and amazing Professor Nya Wallace on the initially two seasons of And Just Like That…,” the community reported in a statement. “As we have totally savored operating with this dynamic actress, so also have other people. Owing to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has come to be clear that filming three reveals at when isn’t achievable. Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not make it possible for us to keep on with this character as element of period 3 of And Just Like That… Karen and Nya will be skipped, and her Max spouse and children and enthusiasts will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors.”
Although period 3 will have new faces, unique Sexual intercourse and the Metropolis stars Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Kristin Davis (Charlotte) and Nixon (Miranda) will all be back for extra NYC adventures.
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones on the HBO sequence from 1998 to 2004 and its two motion pictures, did not return for the sequel collection. On the other hand, she did movie a cameo for time 2.
When it will come to what period 3 will be about, King teased that the time 2 finale with Carrie and Seema (Sarita Choudhury) going to Greece was a hint.
“There’s a tiny, tiny thread of what we’re contemplating at the finish, which is Seema states, ‘Well we ran at adore, and where did that get us?’ And she goes, ‘I’m ready five months and you’re waiting 5 many years.’ And Carrie goes, ‘Well, I might get some time off for fantastic actions,’” King explained during an August 2023 episode of the AJLT podcast. “You would only say that if you are now likely, ‘It’s not gonna be 5 a long time.’ She’s incredibly lovable, but she does go on to say, ‘There will be other folks.’”
