The film industry is mourning the loss of Roger Corman, the prolific independent filmmaker and king of B-movies, following his death on May 9 at the age of 98. With a sprawling collection of work as a director and producer, he worked with and influenced countless notable filmmakers, many of whom are now sharing their tributes and memories of working with and learning from Corman. “When I was 23 he gave me my 1st shot at directing. He launched many careers [and] quietly lead our industry in important ways,” Ron Howard shared on Twitter.
