Some Might Say it’s a needless extravagance, but Liam Gallagher has been given a green light to build a bar within the grounds of his north London mansion.
The former Oasis singer snapped up the mock Tudor property with fiancée Debbie Gwyther in 2020 after moving out of his former home, a £2.1million terrace, in Highgate – reportedly after quarrelling with neighbours.
With five bedrooms, sprawling landscaped gardens and several hand-carved fireplaces, the home was purchased by Gallagher, 51, for an estimated £4million.
Haringey Council have since approved plans for a series of alterations, among them a bar – to be built next to the living room.
Overhead plans obtained by MailOnline confirm a substantial space will be used for the makeshift booze room, which is expected to include its own seating area.

Additional changes include new exterior doors, an assortment of internal alterations and refurbishment works.
Gallagher and his brothers Noel and Paul were raised by single-mum Peggy in a humble semi-detached property in Burnage, Greater Manchester.
But after finding fame with Oasis in the mid-nineties he moved into a penthouse in affluent north London suburb Muswell Hill, before relocating to nearby Hampstead.
The property was sold in 2014, with Gallagher subsequently moving to Highgate Village, a stones throw from his two favourite pubs – The Prince Of Wales and The Gatehouse.
His latest home boasts a spacious kitchen with a large island in the middle as well as built-in white cupboards for extra storage on three of the rooms walls.
Elsewhere, the bathrooms boasts a checkerboard floor and beautiful view of the trees in the garden.
There is also a library with a secret door built into the shelves to create the perfect quiet escape.
As for the property’s five bedrooms, large windows make sure that light can flood in and many of the rooms have stunning wood beams on show.

It is the first home that the musician and Gwyther, his former personal assistant, have bought together.
Gallagher recently revealed that he is on a health kick to ‘undo years of partying’ after struggling with arthritis and combatting an autoimmune condition.
The singer told how his age is catching up with him after years of drinking and drug taking but that he now has a very different lifestyle.
Gallagher now gets up at 4:00am every day in an attempt to live a cleaner, healthier life.
He told The Sun: ‘You’ve got to undo all the bad work you’ve done through f***ing getting off your head and all that.
‘It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days, it’s time to get healthy.’
