Rihanna boasts as she sets Spotify record by having 10 songs reach 1BILLION streams – without releasing new studio album in seven-plus years: ‘Lemme talk my s***’
Rihanna is taking pride in another major music milestone in her acclaimed career.
Leading into the weekend, the Barbadian singer and entrepreneur got word she is now the first female musical artist to have 10 songs reach one billion streams on Spotify.
The new record is made even more impressive by the fact that she hadn’t even released a new studio album since Anti in January 2016, which translates to seven-and-a-half-years.
And Rihanna made sure to point that out when she shared the news on her social media platforms, along with an image of the headline with her social media fans and followers.
‘Bad Gal billi,’ she boasted on both Twitter and Instagram, while referencing her new one billion streams record. ‘With no new album.’
She ended the post by declaring, ‘Lemme talk my s***,’ along with emojis of a tongue sticking out and the Barbados flag.

Many of the accolades Rihanna has accumulated over the years are well-known to many of her die-hard fans, such as her nine Grammys, 13 American Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.
In addition to all her awards, Rihanna also holds six Guinness World Records.
In 2010, she became the only female artist to have four US Hot 100 number one singles in a calendar year, which includes Rude Boy, Love the Way You Lie (featuring Eminem), What’s My Name? (featuring Drake), and Only Girl (In The World), according Go Barbados.
The following year Rihanna had the distinction of being the first female artist to have UK number one singles in five consecutive years, 2007 to 2011, starting with Rude Boy, with the most recent being Only Girl (In The World).

And then there’s the incredible wealth she has accumulated since becoming a global superstar.
RiRi became America’s youngest self-made female billionaire in 2022. And then, a year later, it was estimated that her net worth had topped $1.4 billion, according to Investopedia.
Much of Rihanna’s wealth has been attributed to her wildly successful makeup company, Fenty Beauty, which she co-owns with French luxury retailer LVMH.
The Caribbean singer has previously confirmed she plans to release her long-awaited ninth studio album before the end of 2023.
