After three films and a musical, Reese Witherspoon is now developing a television series inspired by the wildly popular Legally Blonde films.
Deadline reports Witherspoon, 48, is working on a Legally Blonde spin-off TV series with the help of her Hello Sunshine production company.
The series is reportedly now in development at Amazon MGM Studios.
Former Gossip Girl showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are writing and executive producing one of the offshoots of the spin-off, but details of the plot remain unknown.
Progress has already been made in developing the Schwartz-Savage project.

A second Legally Blonde spinoff series is also reportedly being considered by Amazon and Hello Sunshine.
This particular endeavor, however, is in ‘preliminary, idea stages’, the outlet writes.
The original 2001 film, Legally Blonde, starred Reese as Elle Woods, a former sorority girl who enrolls in Harvard Law School to get back together with her ex-boyfriend.
It led to a big screen sequel film, a straight-to-DVD film, and a Broadway musical. A third film written by Mindy Kaling is also in the works.
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde followed recent Harvard graduate Elle defending animal rights in Congress.
Legally Blondes, a direct-to-DVD film, chronicled the adventures of Elle’s twin cousins who relocate from England to California.
The original comedy film completely transformed Reese’s life.
‘I was in England making the Importance of Being Earnest when Legally Blonde came out in America. When I went home my life had changed forever,’ she said on The Graham Norton Show in 2019.
Reese celebrated the film’s 20th anniversary on Instagram back in 2021, calling Elle ‘the role of a life time.’

‘Omigod you guys ….#LegallyBlonde premiered 20 years ago TODAY! Time flies when you’re busy using legal jargon in your every day life,’ she posted to Instagram.
‘But truly… playing Elle Woods was the role of a life time and I’m so honored to have been a part of sharing her story with you all.
‘Every meme, graduation cap, musical number, halloween costume and bend & snap has brought me so much JOY over these past two decades! I wonder… what will Elle do next?’
