Prince Harry will be “destructive” to his brother Prince William once he becomes King, according to a royal expert.
Paul Burrell, the former butler to the late Princess Diana, believes that the Duke of Sussex is currently on a path to total isolation following his attacks on his family since quitting royal life in 2020.
“I think they are just letting him get on with it now,” Burrell said of the royals. “Harry is taking another step closer all the time to isolation.”
“Harry has pressed the self-destruct button and he is going ahead with what he thinks is right and I think he will come unstuck,” he continued. “I don’t think all their plans are going to pan out, I think there is a time scale to his destruction.”
Burrell adds that this “mess” between both camps simply wouldn’t exist had Diana still been around.
“There is no one to do it and so it is going to rumble on because nobody is brave enough to stick their neck out and no one is strong enough for Harry to listen to,” he added.
Elsewhere, the royal expert said that the father of two is possibly biding his time for his estranged brother to assume the throne.
“I think [Harry] might be holding out hope for when William becomes King,” Burrell said.
“Harry believed there would be a new chapter and a new leaf with a place for him but he would be so estranged by then that he would be barely recognizable to the public and I’m not sure they want him back on a full-time role,” he added on behalf of Slingo.
Calling Harry a “destructive” person to have close to the Firm, Burrell added that the royals are always guessing as to “what he is going to do next.”
Since stepping away from the royal spotlight, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have built a life of their own in sunny Montecito, Calif.
Despite being 5,459 miles from London, the Sussexes have remained close to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice — a friendship that has reportedly rubbed Kate Middleton the wrong way.
According to a royal expert, the Princess of Wales, 42, is reportedly “worried” by the “alliance” the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have formed with Harry and the “Suits” alum.
“For William and Kate, an alliance between Harry and Meghan and Beatrice and Eugenie is a huge worry,” royal expert and author Tom Quinn told the Mirror.
“Although Harry and Meghan have little sympathy for Prince Andrew, they’ve kept in regular contact with Beatrice and Eugenie, who have always been free of any associations with Meghan’s angry, bitter time in the UK.”
“The situation is made worse by the fact that the senior royals’ main asset — Kate herself — is effectively out of action while she continues her treatment for cancer,” he added.
Eugenie has even visited the Sussexes in the US, with the pair seen watching the Super Bowl together back in 2022.
She was also the only figure from the royal family to make an appearance in his Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan.”
