It’s been a rough month for Ben Affleck.
Before the rumors began about Affleck, 51, and Jennifer Lopez allegedly divorcing, the “Argo” actor had a cringeworthy appearance at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast on May 5.
Affleck went on a strange rant about social media that didn’t go over well with everyone else that was at the event and at home watching.
Nikki Glaser, who was arguably the MVP of the roast, shaded Affleck’s set during an interview on KFC Radio.
“I haven’t watched it again back how it looked, because I don’t like to watch people bomb,” Glaser, 39, said in an Instagram clip shared Saturday.
“He didn’t prepare,” the comedian added about Affleck. “He’s someone who’s famous enough that he probably thinks that this is beneath him to do this, so I’m just gonna do a favor. It’s not going to be that big of a deal.”
Glaser speculated that Affleck made “a pitch” to the writers of the roast to do an angle about “being mad at tweets,” which the host of the radio show thought was “so self-centered” of the Oscar winner.
“There were jokes that could have been used to fill up a set that would have been amazing, but either they couldn’t get him on the phone enough to work out something, he didn’t practice enough, or he just picked a bad premise and then he had to stick to it the whole time,” Glaser explained.
She added: “It didn’t work right away, so it’s not gonna work later.”
Glaser isn’t the only comedian who has shaded Affleck’s performance at the roast.
Dane Cook, who was at the event but didn’t participate, said Affleck came in “last place” in a viral TikTok video.
“He decided to deliver a monologue that just … it didn’t work,” Cook said. “He was tied into it for about four to five minutes, and about 40 seconds in, it was clear it just wasn’t the right choice.”
During his speech, Affleck went on an odd rant where he called out social media users who criticize Brady, 46.
“Fans have your back. You guys out there talking s – – t, all right, behind your f – – king keyboard, that doesn’t make you a fan. That makes you a b–ch,” he said.
After over six minutes into his speech, Affleck admitted that his rant probably wasn’t landing well: “I don’t think I’ll ever get this chance again. I’m probably never going to work again, actually, after tonight,” he said.
Affleck got roasted on social media following his perplexing rant. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one user compared his speech to a “car crash.”
Fans also accused the “Air” star of undergoing plastic surgery prior to the Netflix special, but insiders later told the Daily Mail that wasn’t the case.
A source said: “Ben has been blasted over and over and over for last few decades about everything, this is nothing new. And now that people think he has had a face lift is just a joke.”
“The Roast of Tom Brady” is streaming now on Netflix.
