Mindy Kaling channels Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde as she floats in her pool in a bikini highlighting her incredible weight loss
Mindy Kaling was living her best life on Tuesday when she posted a photo of herself soaking up the sun in her pool in a bikini.
The 44-year-old actress and writer shared the image with her 6.5 million Instagram followers while joking that she was doing ‘fanfic’ of Reese Witherspoon‘s Legally Blonde character.
In addition to her own sizzling bikini photo, which was part of her collaboration with Andie swimwear, she shared a still from the 2001 comedy showing Reese, 47, in a green sequin-covered bikini while lounging on a translucent pink flotation device.
Mindy, who has lately been wowing her fans with her stunning weight loss, highlighted her taut midriff and slender figure in her original photo.
She lay backwards on the floating lounge chair with her trim legs raised up on the backrest.

Mindy’s canary yellow two-piece suit featured a set of high-waisted bottoms, and she let her long raven hair fan out behind her.
The Office star completed her beach-ready look with a pair of chunky white sunglasses to block out the piercing daylight.Â
‘Basically doing fanfic of @reesewitherspoon in her green Elle Woods bikni but in my Daffodil @andieswim,’ she wrote in her caption.
‘Of all the colors in my Andie swim collab, this color was my absolute favorite. It feels like summer is here even when itâs gray in LA and I swear it looks so good on everyone!’ she added.
Mindy also showcased her taut midriff in a one-piece suit in the same daffodil shade from Andie, which was posted to the brand’s Instagram page.
She looked glamorous as she strolled across a beach with a picturesque rocky outcropping behind her.
The various designs in Mindy’s collection cost around $62â72 dollars for bikini tops and $52â56 for individual bottoms.Â
Her branded one-piece suits costs from $112â128, and she also had cover-ups, sarongs and beach jackets in her collection as well.Â
Mindy has lost around 40 pounds in recent months, but she claimed to Entertainment Weekly in April of last year that she simply has reduced her portions, even as she can continue to eat the things she most loves.
‘Honestly, I didn’t really do anything differently. I eat what I like to eat,’ she claimed. ‘If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it…’
However, she admitted that her answer might not satisfy those looking for a miracle cure to emulate.

She previously recounted on GMA how her body confidence took a major hit in 2004 or ’05, when a fellow writer suggested that she incorporate jokes into The Office about how her character Kelly Kapoor need to lose 15 pounds.Â
She recalled: ‘This is my greatest insecurity and someone just called it out. It’s really devastating.’
To make matters worse, she had felt like she was taking care of her body at the time, with workouts every morning.
