Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves go ‘sans PANTS’ as they hit the pickleball court in a VERY cheeky ad for their tequila brand

Matthew McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, have appeared in a very cheeky ad as they went ‘sans pants’ for their tequila brand.

The lovebirds are cofounders of Pantalones Tequila, and have released new video and pictures as part of a campaign to promote their alcohol, where the duo is seen doing laundry and playing pickleball without wearing pants. 

Fittingly, it comes a day before No Pants Day, which is usually marked on the first Friday of May. 

In the video promo, Matthew, 54, rolls a bar table onto a pickle ball court and asks Camila: ‘Is après-pickleball even actually a thing?’

He pointed to the camera while embracing Camila 41, and said: ‘Well it is now.’

The brand has labeled its alcohol as the ‘Official Tequila of Pickle Ball and Spring Cleaning.’

Pantalones is also celebrating its first Cinco de Mayo by sharing a pickle margarita cocktail recipe. 

In the video, Camila announces: ‘Introducing the Pantalones pickle margarita. Start with a half cup of ice, and three jalapenos.’

Matthew continues: ‘Then you take one ounce of Pantalones Organic Tequila [and] one ounce of pickle juice.’

She adds: ‘And add a half-ounce of lime juice and agave.’

He concludes: ‘Then serve.’ Camila then joked: ‘The best serve of the day,’ as Matthew points at her and laughs.

The rest of the commercial features the doubles partners playing pickleball, sans pants, while their bottom-halves blurred, and the overlaid text on the left side displaying their cocktail recipe.

As for the campaign’s stills, Matthew and Camila are seen looking over their shoulders at the camera and baring their naked backsides, but they’re blurred to protect their modesty.

Meanwhile in another photo, the couple is seen smiling together while doing the laundry as Camila is perched on top of a washing machine wearing a white T-shirt without any bottoms on.

A standing Matthew is similarly dressed, again their lower regions have been censored.

Both are holding towels with one thrown casually over his shoulder. 

Matthew and Camila shared in their brand’s press release: ‘We’re precious about our tequila – not our pants.

‘With the explosion in popularity of tequila, there’s a level of snootiness that’s crept into the category. 

‘People now talk about tequila the way they talk about wine. 

‘While we’re all for being passionate about tequila, we wanted to remind people that, above all, it’s meant to be fun. 

‘That’s where the name Pantalones came from and that’s why you won’t see us wearing any.’

The video promo was captioned: ‘Paddles up, pants down. It’s time for a Pantalones Pickle Margarita.’ 

One person wrote: ‘Love it!! For all us pickle ballers!!! YES!!!’

A second person added: ‘Yes!! Countdown to Summer.’

A third person commented: ‘If Pantalones Tequila made them lose their pants, then I MUST HAVE IT (asking for a friend).’ 

A fourth person wrote: ‘Need to get some for my Birthday this weekend, and give this a try. May the 4th.’ 

A fifth person added: ‘I love the name,’ and another added: ‘Officially pickled!’

Other commenters cheered on the couple’s visible chemistry in the ads.

One person wrote: ‘This is the kind of magic you get when two people are meant for each other! And I’m not talking about the tequila – although that’s pretty magical too.’

A second person added: ‘It would be an honor to sling tequila with my wife – good on ya chap.’

A third person commented: ‘Y’all are the best!’
