Married At First Sight’s Ellie Dix and her boyfriend Jono McCullough have taken a brutal swipe at her ex-groom Ben Walters.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the new couple expressed their disappointment and frustration with Walters’ after he labelled his former bride a ‘cold-hearted woman’ and wiped his bottom with their recent New Idea cover.
Ellie and Jono described Ben as ‘desperate’ and ‘fame-hungry,’ criticising his attempts to tarnish their image publicly.
‘I have blocked Ben’s number because he just keeps posting online to get his five minutes. I can’t take any contact from him,’ Ellie said.
‘He’s not as nice as you’d think.’

Jono added: ‘He’s just desperate, the show didn’t go well for him, it didn’t go well for me either, but I don’t feel a need to try and post any nasty stuff about him.’
Jono also commented on one of Walters’ more bizarre acts of protest against them.
‘I saw that he got our New Idea cover article and wiped his bum. That was actually the funniest thing I’ve seen him do. I’ll give you that, Ben. That was actually not too bad. The rest of your stuff is garbage,’ he said.

It comes after the tour guide sensationally claimed that Ellie told him during the Honesty Box task on their honeymoon she had broken up with a boyfriend just before filming started so she could take part in the social experiment.
‘The difference between Ellie at the beginning of the season and at the final dinner party highlights the clever editing by producers and its power to influence perception,’ Ben told Yahoo Lifestyle this week.
‘The editing made her seem like a hero throughout, then shifted to a cold hearted woman when it mattered the most. If they showed everything, viewers would have seen Ellie’s faults from the start alongside mine. In the end, negativity attracts negativity making Ellie and Jono a match made in clout chasing heaven.’
Ellie accused Walters of seeking attention through social media antics at her expense.
‘I feel like Ben really just wants to get the clicks and the likes and that’s okay, but just don’t bring me into it,’ she said.
‘He was trying to make memes about me. Leave me alone.’
Despite the taunting, Ellie has tried to maintain the high road.
‘Like I wasn’t doing anything to him. I was keeping silent. I wasn’t speaking or talking horribly about Ben. I only clapped back once and that was with a Facebook comment post, otherwise I left him alone. But yeah, he just kept going for me,’ she finished.
