Louis Tomlinson‘s fans were forced to flee his concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado after being pelted by hail the size of golf balls.
The One Direction star, 31, had been due to perform at the outdoor venue on Wednesday night, but the show was called off when up to 100 required medical attention due to injuries from the adverse weather.
According to West Metro Fire Rescue, seven people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 attendees were treated on the scene.
Some fans took to Twitter to claim the hail had left them with broken fingers and hands, while footage from the scene showed others being treated by medics.
Shocking images also showed the huge hailstones that littered the outdoor theatre, while Louis tweeted that he was ‘devastated’ the show had been cancelled.

One fan tweeted: ‘Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign.
‘I am bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hoping everyone made it out safely.’
Another fan responded: ‘I’m so sorry. We just left the same show. I have a broken hand from the hail.’
One concertgoer tweeted an image of a large piece of hail in her hand while another shared video of hail and flooding pouring down a staircase at the venue, writing it was ‘straight out of a horror movie.’
Another wrote: ‘Golf ball-sized hail. Turns out it hurts. Quite a bit. Sorry your first show at Red Rocks got ruined @Louis_Tomlinson.’
Louis’ had already been delayed when the heavy hail began, and despite being given the all-clear to go ahead at 8:35pm, was delayed again just before 9:15pm.
Eventually, at 10:25pm, the venue tweeted: ‘Tonight’s show has officially been postponed. Please be safe exiting the amphitheatre – we’ll have more information for ticket holders soon.’
One concertgoer told local Fox affiliate KDVR that she and her friends took shelter in a toilet cubicle for over an hour before the show was finally cancelled, while another said she believed her finger was broken by the hail.

‘Literally the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced,’ one said.
‘Should’ve canceled at the first delay. Absolutely ridiculous. Louis must be livid,’ another wrote.
A posted: ‘Scariest hail storm I’ve ever been caught in. This show should have been cancelled an hour ago.’
Louis team later shared a statement on his official Twitter, writing: ‘Unfortunately due to the current weather events in the area, tonight’s show at Red Rocks has been postponed. All ticket holders will be updated in due course.’
The singer then took to Twitter to write: ‘Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone’s ok, I’ll be back!
‘Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!’
