Liam Neeson is finding foolish in a new reboot of the Naked Gun sequence. New forged associates have joined the job directed by Akiva Schaffer.
April 11, 2024: In accordance to The Hollywood Reporter, the law enforcement-procedural spoof will be directed by the Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer and made in element by Seth MacFarlane. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand (Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers) wrote the script.
The Bare Gun movies originally starred Leslie Nielsen and have been spun off from the a single-time Television set display Law enforcement Squad! Nielsen played Frank Drebin, a self-really serious detective who has unsuccessful up via the ranks of the titular Police Squad. After pegged as a spectacular actor, Nielsen pivoted to comedy starting off with Airplane! Neeson has also occasionally devolved into self-parody, playing himself in an episode of Atlanta.
A reboot of the series was previously attempted by Workplace star Ed Helms, but it never ever built it to the monitor. Presumably, the new edition has been customized to Neeson’s specific skill set. This now untitled tale from the data files of Police Squad comes to theaters on July 28, 2025.
Might 1, 2024: The entire world of Liam Neeson’s Bare Gun reboot is acquiring fleshed out. Pamela Anderson has signed on to enjoy Frank Drebin’s love interest, performed by Priscilla Presley in the original motion picture. Deadline is reporting that Paul Walter Hauser, who earlier labored with Akiva Schaffer on I Consider You Should really Depart, will be participating in Captain Ed Hocken. Hocken was played by George Kennedy in the Naked Gun movies and by Alan North on Police Squad!
