Petras’s A&R representative served her move via the “troublesome” condition, she recounted, advising her, “‘You gotta go feed the beast and make extra music. Do what you do very best.’ And which is particularly what I did.”
The setback turned out to be well worth it. “I come to feel like I actually took that time — which is time I would’ve under no circumstances taken — to truly best [the album] off and make guaranteed it’s the greatest it can possibly be,” Petras said. “And now it really feels like a cohesive album. I am very pleased of the message of it, which is just to go for it and do what you might be most terrified of.”

I consider there is no way of expanding if you happen to be not carrying out what you happen to be most terrified of.”
“Feed the Beast” capabilities 14 tracks and a bonus tune (her Grammy-award-successful collab with Sam Smith, “Unholy”) and pairs Petras with “a lot of folks I’ve dreamt about functioning with,” which includes producers Max Martin and Ian Kirkpatrick.
Petras very easily recognized a beloved observe from the album: “Claws.” The track, she states, tells a tale she’s been “having difficulties to convey to.” Recounted Petras, “And one day I was in the studio and it just all came out within 40 minutes and was this magical practical experience, in which it actually felt complete circle.”
