Ian McKellen is on the mend just after slipping off the phase through a general performance at London’s Noël Coward Theatre. The 85-year-old actor was taken to a healthcare facility immediately after the slide.
“Following a scan, the good [National Health Service] team have assured us that he will make a speedy and total recovery and Ian is in excellent spirits,” in accordance to a statement to The Periods by the theater. There were no particulars on any accidents he might have experienced.
The “Lord of the Rings” and “X-Men” actor fell immediately after shedding his footing for the duration of a battle scene in between two other actors in “Player Kings,” in which he portrays John Falstaff, according to BBC News.
