Gwen Stefani didn’t give her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale a shoutout on Father’s Day, despite the exes having three sons together.
Instead, Stefani, 54, shared a sweet tribute to her husband and sons’ stepfather, Blake Shelton.
The No Doubt frontwoman posted a video that featured clips of Shelton, 47, holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a pink bunny onesie. There was also an assortment of photos of the couple spending time with Stefani’s sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10.
“A very happy Father’s Day to @blakeshelton we love u so much !!” Stefani wrote in her caption.
Fans took to the comments to point out that Stefani didn’t acknowledge Rossdale on Father’s Day.
“Shady towards Gavin and I love every second of it 😂,” one fan wrote.
Another said, “Gavin has earned every bit of the shade.”
A different comment read, “The boys are so lucky they have two wonderful fathers they have Gavin and they have Blake they are very very blessed boys.”
Rossdale, for his part, celebrated Father’s Day with an Instagram post that featured a photo of himself with his three sons, as well as a photo with his daughter Daisy Lowe from a previous relationship with British fashion designer Pearl Lowe.
“Happy Father’s Day to me and all the dads out there that love their kids and do the very best they can. I’m really lucky to have these extraordinary people to call my own. It’s a wild journey where love and support and patience wins all the way,” he wrote.
He also reposted a dedication from a fan page that wished him a happy Father’s Day on his Instagram Story.
Stefani and Rossdale began dating in 1995 and tied the knot in 2002.
In 2015, the couple announced their divorce after rumors that Rossdale allegedly cheated on Stefani with their nanny.
The exes went through a tumultuous divorce that they’ve both reflected on in the years since.
“Everybody pretty much knows that at one point my life fell apart. It was terrible, and there’s so many people out there that have gone through the same thing,” Stefani told People last year.
“When that happened, I had to literally start over again. It was a reset of my life,” she also said about the end of her marriage.
Rossdale said earlier this year that he still regrets how things ended with Stefani.
“I never thought I’d ever get divorced,” he said on the “Amy & T.J.” podcast. “So there’s a simple shame in my life.”
The British musician added: “I feel bad for my kids, that’s it. I wish I could have found a way to not have that in their lives. It wasn’t fun for me to come from a broken home … It can be quite debilitating for kids … the overriding thing is you don’t want to let your kids down.”
Shortly before Stefani and Rossdale’s divorce was finalized, the “Hollaback Girl” singer began dating her current husband after they met as coaches on “The Voice.” Shelton was going through his own split from wife Miranda Lambert at the time.
Stefani and the country singer got engaged in 2020 and exchanged vows the following year.
