Gogglebox star reveals she doesn’t own a TV despite appearing on the show for six years
Gogglebox star Helena Worthington has revealed she ‘doesn’t own a TV’ despite appearing on the show for six years.
The Channel 4 star, 29, told OK! the surprising update during an interview at the TRIC Awards.
Helena – who appears on the show with her mum Alison and dad George – admitted she ‘doesn’t really watch telly’ when she’s not on Gogglebox.
‘I don’t really watch telly at home, I don’t have a TV but [Gogglebox is] how I catch up on what’s going on. I go to my mum’s and use her electric to watch the telly,’ she said.
‘It’s a pretty good gig because you get to sit down and eat food and watch telly.’

Meanwhile her mum Alison gushed over her daughter saying it’s ‘lovely’ for the family trio to reunite every week to watch TV.Ā
‘There’s no getting out of it for Helena. She has to come and see her mum and dad,’ said the doting mum.
The family just scored a great win at the TRIC awards earlier this week – as they won the Entertainment gong.

This year’s TRIC Awards took an unexpected turn on Tuesday, as it saw This Morning losing out onĀ the Daytime gong for the first time in four years after the stars of the scandal-hit show avoided the ceremony.
It welcomed a host of Britain’s best known TV stars to Park Lane’s Grosvenor House on Tuesday but the This Morning presenters avoided the ceremony.Ā
Holly Willoughby has previously attended the star-studded awards do but skipped this year’s ceremony- even though the show was up for the Daytime award which they ultimately lost out on to A Place In The Sun.Ā
A source told MailOnline she had ‘prior commitments’ but no doubt she didn’t want to risk an awkward run in with Eamonn Holmes who was in attendance and has been vocal with his criticism of her following the departure of her co-presenter Phillip Schofield.Ā

The broadcaster, 63, who hosted This Morning alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, hasn’t held back from speaking his mind after working for ITVĀ – following Schofield’s confession of an affair with a much younger colleague.
This Morning regulars Vanessa Feltz and Martin Lewis were the only stars of the ITV show in attendance on Tuesday.
Eamonn has been strongly condemning ITV’s ‘toxic’ environment and their management, since the company has been dragged into question following Phillip’s scandal – claiming he knows ‘the truth’.
The GB News presenter’s comments over the past month were criticised during aĀ Parliamentary hearing, in which ITV bosses Carolyn McCall and Kevin Lygo were quizzed by MPs.
In a jibe at Eamonn, Mr Lygo claimed that former presenters hitting out at the channel hadn’t made claims while they were at ITV.Ā
And, he added, it ‘wasn’t surprising’ to hear such comments.
Since Schofield’s resignation, This Morning has been plagued with allegations of ‘toxicity’, including from the show’s former resident doctor Dr Ranj Singh, who raised concerns about ‘bullying and discrimination’ and afterwards felt like he was ‘managed out’ for whistleblowing.
The Television and Radio Industries Club hosted its annual awards do with Judi Love and Rob Rinder on hosting duties and more than 1,000 invited guests in attendance.
The TRIC Awards recognise the very best TV, radio and online shows, as well as Britain’s most-loved stars and talent, with the winners decided by the public and industry vote.Ā
