Violet Grohl is following in her dad’s rock star footsteps. On Friday, June 23, the 17-year-outdated joined her father, Dave Grohl, and the Foo Fighters onstage at the 2023 Glastonbury Pageant, exactly where she and Dave performed a music from the band’s newest album, “But Here We Are.”
“My preferred singer in the earth,” Grohl explained as he released his daughter. “This is a track I wrote for my mom, Violet’s grandmother. This is ‘Show Me How.'”
Around the close of the song, the happy father shouted, “Which is my girl!” Violet formerly done the similar music with Dave in Pelham, Alabama on June 16.
Violet is the oldest of Grohl’s a few daughters with wife Jordyn Blum. They also share Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint (all a few of his daughters and Blum joined him at the 2023 Grammys). At least two of his daughters seem to love new music just as a great deal as their father does. Not only has Violet joined her father onstage a number of periods, 14-yr-previous Harper has executed with her father, way too. In 2018, she joined Dave onstage at a gain live performance in which she and her father sang “The Sky Is a Community.”
While Dave has a storied heritage thanks to becoming in Nirvana and the Foo Fighters at unique points of his career, he has been candid about how proud he is to be a father. In a 2021 interview on “Now,” he shared how singing and talking to Violet before she was born gave them an unbreakable bond suitable from the start off.
“It feels odd to sit there chatting to someone’s belly and saying, like, ‘Hi! I won’t be able to hold out to fulfill you,'” he claimed. But his initiatives compensated off when he held his daughter for the 1st time. “I bought right shut to her deal with and and I mentioned, ‘Hey, Violet, it really is me.’ And she stopped screaming,” he recalled. “We’ve been like that ever considering that.”
