So it was no surprise thatĀ Claire Sweeney needed a helping hand as she made her way up the stairs to the afterparty at London’s New Connaught Rooms on Friday.
It was a far cry from a few hours prior whenĀ the CoronationĀ Street actress looked picture-perfect leaving the initial awards ceremony.Ā
Claire, 53, looked stunning in a halter neck white jumpsuit with baggy trouser legs which trailed the floor and a chic gold belt.
On the Diva Awards red carpet, she was joined by Dannii Minogue who wore a gorgeous plunging gold sequined top and a flowing black skirt.

The Diva Awards wasĀ founded in 2017 by DIVA Magazine publisher Linda Riley to celebrate the achievements of LGBTQI women and non-binary people in business, media, and politics.
The event comes after Claire and retired boxer Ricky HattonĀ made their first public appearance together at the Co-op Live official welcome ceremony.
The showbiz pair looked great togetherĀ as joined other celebs to take a look at Manchester’s newest event space.Ā
They confirmed their relationship with the outing, but just days before, Ricky, 45, took to Instagram with a loved-up birthday message for Claire.
In the accompanying photo, they beamed in a selfie backstage atĀ Dancing on IceĀ where they first met.
ClaireĀ has told friends she feels like ‘she has won the lottery’ as her romance with Ricky goes from strength to strength.Ā
A friend of Claire’s told MailOnline: ‘Claire and Ricky have become really close.Ā
‘She wasn’t looking for a relationship but then Ricky came along and it just felt right and natural and she’s really happy.
‘She signed up for a reality TVĀ show and met a great guy so it feels a bit like winning the lottery and she’s really counting her blessings as it all came from nowhere and often that’s the best way.
‘She’s now really looking forward to introducing Ricky to her family and friends soon and they are really looking forward to meeting the guy who has put a smile on Claire’s face.’
