‘I never would’ve thought I’d see the day’: Carrie Underwood and her mother Carole get matching tattoos in Las Vegas amid her ongoing residency
Carrie Underwood, her mother Carole and her two sisters all got matching ink as they celebrated the holiday weekend together in Las Vegas.
The Muskogee, Oklahoma native, 40, took to Instagram Sunday with a carousel of photos documenting the weekend in Sin City, where she has an ongoing residency.
‘When your 74-year-old mother asks you and your sisters to get matching tattoos with her in Vegas, the only questions are, “what?” and “where?”‘ the Grammy-winning country songstress said in the caption of the post.
The series of images chronicled how the singer, her sisters Shanna Underwood Means and Stephanie U. Shelton, and their mom were pictured at the tattoo studio for artist Darek Riley.
The Little Toy Guns singer said she was taken off-guard by the course of events.

Carole donned a patriotic ensemble of a red shirt with white stripes, and white stars against a blue background, with blue jeans and black sneakers as she got ink. Â
The Before He Cheats vocalist thanked Riley ‘for being so sweet to the Underwood girls’ to wrap up the post.
Riley on his Instagram said that ‘experiences like this make Las Vegas one of the coolest places to live!’
The tattoo artist added, ‘A huge thank you to the Underwood gals for coming by and spending the afternoon in my studio. I am so grateful.’
The mother and her three daughters all got matching tattoos of a heart design.
Carrie’s was inked on the top of her foot, while Carole, Shanna and Stephanie all were inked on their wrists.
Carrie recently concluded a leg of her Resorts World Las Vegas residency, Reflection, as she’s slated to pick it back up this fall.
