Kate and Oliver Hudson‘s estranged father, Bill Hudson, praised Kurt Russell for stepping up as a dad to his youngsters.
“I couldn’t have chosen a better guy to be the surrogate father for Oliver and Kate,” Monthly bill, 74, tells Us Weekly completely in the new concern. “He’s a straight shooter. There is no BS with him. They had been both of those stellar.”
Goldie Hawn welcomed Kate, 45, and Oliver, 47, all through her relationship to Invoice, which lasted from 1976 till 1982. Above the several years, equally Kate and Oliver have been candid about feeling deserted by their organic father, but Russell, 73, was brief to acquire on the position as “Pa” after becoming Hawn’s longtime husband or wife. “Kate set it flawlessly. We are warming up [and] permitting items consider their system,” he tells Us. “All people have rifts. It is pleasant that our rift is therapeutic.”
Monthly bill also shared Emily, 42, and Zachary, 38, with his late ex-spouse, Cindy Williams, and 18-12 months-outdated Lalania with ex Caroline Graham. (He also had a son named Paul as a teen, who was place up for adoption.)

Although Invoice operates on his partnership with Kate and Oliver, he tells Us that they’ve built it a point not to appear back again at previous drama.
“A ton went down, and we aren’t revisiting it,” Invoice suggests. “No a person would like to rehash the previous. You simply cannot go ahead if all you’re accomplishing is examining the past. We’re in the current.”
