Air date for Neighbours reboot revealed – as the soap announces same-sex couple are set to join the cast to ‘help better reflect the beautiful LGBTQIA+ community’
Neighbours will be back on air in a matter of months.
The long-running soap, which was cancelled last year, will return to screens in September, where it will air both on Channel Ten and Amazon’s Prime Video.
Among the new cast members coming to Ramsay Street will be a same-sex couple with two children, the Varga-Murphy family.
Wives Cara and Remi are played by actresses Sara West and Naomi Rukavina, while their two sons, JJ and Dex, are portrayed by Riley Bryant and Marley Williams.
‘I’m so honoured to be a part of the new Neighbours legacy and really looking forward to bringing the Varga-Murphy family to Australian and international screens,’ Sara West said in a statement.

In her own statement, Naomi Rukavina added: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the new Neighbours legacy.
‘As a stalwart of Australian drama television, the show is on the front foot of showcasing diverse and real representations of Australian families, not in a tokenistic way,’ she said.
