Former President Donald Trump’s gun license is envisioned to be revoked now that he has been convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying small business records, according to a New York Police Division spokesperson.
Trump’s gun license for New York City experienced been suspended on his indictment, the spokesperson stated.
The Trump campaign did not quickly reply to a request for comment on the expected revocation, which was to start with noted by CNN.
Gun licenses are typically revoked immediately after convictions in New York.
It is unclear when the former president has past held a gun, but his gun license for New York Town was lively at the time of his indictment in the hush money scenario in March 2023, according to the NYPD spokesperson.
He has been underneath Secret Service protection since 2015, when he grew to become the Republican nominee for president.
