Tennessee Titans jogging back again Hassan Haskins was arrested immediately after he was accused of strangling his girlfriend all through an argument past week, according to an arrest affidavit.
Haskins and his girlfriend, Makiah Environmentally friendly, got into an argument on June 22 around her clicking “like” on yet another man’s Instagram image, according to an affidavit attained by NBC News. Environmentally friendly stated that through the argument, she went into a closet and begun to throw Haskins’ shoes on the ground, it states.
The NFL star informed her to end touching his issues and allegedly pushed her to the floor, resulting in her to hit the back again of her head, in accordance to the affidavit. Inexperienced explained she fought again and kicked Haskins and he grabbed her, took her out of the closet, pushed her on the bed “and started to strangle her with equally hands,” it states.
Inexperienced stated she believes she was strangled for 10 to 15 seconds, it says. When Haskins introduced her, Inexperienced explained she stood up and slapped the jogging again and he slapped her again.
As the incident escalated the affidavit alleges Haskins threw Environmentally friendly on the floor and began to strangle her once more. When he permit go, he still left the residence.
Authorities stated Eco-friendly offered pics showing bruising on her right cheek, a scratch on the left facet of her neck, and a bruise in close proximity to her shoulder. The front of her neck was also purple, the affidavit states.
Haskins was arrested Thursday on a cost of aggravated assault by strangulation. Eco-friendly was also arrested on costs of aggravated assault by strangulation and felony vandalism for a later altercation involving the couple. They have been each unveiled after putting up bond.
NBC Information has reached out to Haskins for comment. The Titans reported in a statement that it was “aware of the situation and collecting extra info.”
