An Ohio guy set a police officer in a chokehold — while also declaring the regulation enforcement agent “could’ve killed me” — after a wild confrontation at the Spirit Airways counter at Orlando Worldwide Airport, officials stated.
Edward Hairston, 41, was arrested Tuesday evening and accused of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, battery on a law enforcement officer and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, according to Orange County arrest documents.
The confrontation about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday occurred soon after officers came on “a massive group of men and women who have been turning out to be aggressive with the Spirit workers and threatening them,” according to an arrest affidavit.
Hairston was among the the prospects, which include a person “standing at the rear of the Spirit ticket counter on top rated of the baggage scales,” yelling at employees, in accordance to the arresting Orlando officer, whose identify was redacted.
Hairston attained about the counter, “grabbed the personal computer keyboard and started hitting buttons” right before the officer grabbed the customer to “prevent him from creating harm to their home,” the affidavit stated.
He commenced to wrestle with an officer and allegedly utilized a chokehold, according to the report. Hairston “started to squeeze, limiting my airway,” the officer noted.
“I commenced to get dizzy and immediately spotty as my airflow was limited and I was commencing to shed consciousness,” the officer claimed in a report. ” I attempted to split his arm free of charge from my neck but I was not able to do so to begin with thanks to my semi-mindful point out.”
The officer was freed when backup arrived, and Hairston was arrested.

Hairston was in custody Friday, held in lieu of $50,450 bail, Orange County jail information confirmed.
