A New York couple is suing the hotel they stayed at in 2021 for failing to present ample stability, stating they ended up robbed at gunpoint following opening their place doorway anticipating Uber Eats.
The lawsuit, which was filed Friday in Kings County Supreme Courtroom in Brooklyn, names as defendants the Boro Lodge in Extended Island City, Queens, and the firms that own and regulate the resort. The plaintiffs in the go well with are only identified as John Doe and Jane Doe.
The violent robbery transpired after midnight on Jan. 2, 2021, in accordance to the lawsuit. Jane Doe read a knock at the doorway, and John Doe acquired up to answer it, believing it was an Uber Eats shipping worker.
